My gut says it was a date - not a "random hook-up" or a "pay for play," but a rather uncomfortable date between two people who were feeling each other out.

I didn't get the sense that they were related - at all - but I did get sexual tension. Of course that doesn't necessarily *mean* anything, but ....

I think the kid was experienced at what he was doing and I think he liked older man. He was dressed to impress and grandpa was dressed down, to see "normal" and be more "relatable."

That's my read on it, if you have to have it.
