sbuxdrama FAQ

What is sbuxdrama about, anyway?
The #sbuxdrama blog chronicles the life - and drama - of a normal, everyday office drone with a passion for Starbucks coffee. The odd and the strange, the passion and the downright freaky always seem to find me whenever I'm at a Starbucks. I blog, I tweet and I share my observations about the latest #sbuxdrama with the world.

Are you affiliated with Starbucks Coffee Company?
No. This blog is not sponsored by, affiliated with, controlled by or in any way connected to Starbucks Coffee Company and starbucks.com. I do have Google AdSense, so there will probably be advertisements for Starbucks Coffee appearing on the pages, but that is Google's business, not mine. I will swear on a stack of green aprons that I do not receive any money from Starbucks for writing this.

Do you get discounts at Starbucks?
I don't get any discounts that aren't available to every other consumer. I have both a Starbucks Duetto Visa and a Starbucks Gold card. If you are a frequent Starbucks patron, I highly recommend both of them. I also frequently use the receipt treat offering to get a grande iced drink for $2 in the afternoons. I would also advise tipping well and often - you'd be surprised what baristas in a good mood will do you for you!

What is the best place to follow all the #sbuxdrama action on Twitter?
Follow @sbuxdrama for heavy-duty and live behind-the-scenes action on Twitter. You can follow my personal account @napleschris for more drama.

What is the meaning of the #sbuxdrama thing?
Using the pound sign and the sbuxdrama together is known as a hashtag on micro-blogging service Twitter. When used together like this - #sbuxdrama - everyone can search for individual tweets tagged as #sbuxdrama. Many people - including some Starbucks baristas - are now using the tag to describe their adventures.

Can I use #sbuxdrama to talk about my own adventures at Starbucks?
Please do. Just add #sbuxdrama to any tweet describing some hot action going down at a Starbucks. If we like your tweet, we might even Re-Tweet it on the official @sbuxdrama Twitter account!

I still have questions!
Leave a comment in the blog questions or send a message out through Twitter. Please don't ask about Starbucks policies or questions. I really don't know - and there are better places to do that - starting with starbucksgossip.com. You can also drop an email to sbuxdrama (at) gmail.com.
